Here comes the Wurlie.

Not just another 200A.

Wurlie is a 64 keys Wurlitzer 206A piano, and as the Wurlitzer company named it, a "Student Electronic Piano", and it has a build in amp and cabinet.

A few more info.

The 206A is a student model, and is very similar to a 200A except for its beige color and build in amp/speaker (it also did not come with a tremolo).
We recorded it both from the direct output using a state of the art DI (Universal Audio Solo 610) and also using a pair of microphones right above the keys next to where the head of a player would be.
We also included our common features like the multiple releases and also included our sympathetic resonance system (both pedal up and down).
You also have access to various commonly used effects and a full control over the midi parameters to make it fit to your keyboards response.

As all of our libraries, it comes with its own player (the UVI Workstation) that works in standalone and as VST, AU, RTAS, MAS plugins for windows and Mac and in 32 and 64 Bits. You can also use it in MachFive 3.

Acousticsamples in UVI format, new libraries, bundles, and updates.

Unified UVI format and free advanced player.

Today we have big news, you might have seen it on the website already, but all of our products are now in UVI format only and got some very important updates. This means that we now offer Virtual Instruments, all of the libraries come with their own player that support advanced scripts. The UVI Workstation is the equivalent of the MachFive 3 player and is provided for free with every purchase. It works as a VST, AU, RTAS in both 32 and 64 bits and on windows and Mac. Given the little problems we got with megaupload like websites, we now also protect our libraries with the iLok protection. Some people won't like it, but we really had no choice.

New instruments.

We also released the instruments bundled with MachFive 3.

	The Telematic is a deeply sampled Fender Telecaster. It has 120 different layers, features a chord recognition algorythm that can regognize any chord you play on the keyboard and translates it to a guitar tab, and has a powerful strum engine based on calculations on real playing as well as a way to create arpeggios and realistic guitar parts.
	The Mark79 is a Classic 73 Keys Electric piano from 1979 (MarkII) recorded with the direct output plugged into a tube preamp. It has numerous features such as acoustic volume, release depending on time, effect panel.
	TheUpright is Chinese 4/4 four strings Upright bass (double bass) recorded from three microphone perspectives, a pair of overheads, one next to the F-Hole and the pickup. These three microphones perspectives allow you to shape the sound to give it more bass, roundness or detail (finger noises).
	JBass is a four strings american Fender Custom shop Jazz bass with flatwound strings. It features different playing styles, normal, pick, muted and pick muted and has a powerful legato script that makes it sound incredibly realistic.
	StarDrums is a Tama Starclassic Drum Kit, each element was recorded with 3 microphones positions and you can adjust the pan, volume or mute each one independantly. It works with a large variety of mapping presets, you can also use midi learn to move the elements, and we introduced a real life hihat script that reacts just like a real one.
	As opposed to traditional percussions libraries, Percussiv' is based on the detail of each instrument so that each one of them is playable and sounds realistic.

Acousticsamples libraries in MachFive 3 format, first batch.

Some of you might already have the amazing new MachFive 3 in their hands and now you have access of some of our sample libraries, actually all keys and some Drums. This process takes some time as we completely rewrite the script and sometimes even improve the graphics/samples/voicing. The rest will come very soon.

MachFive 3 Libraries by Acousticsamples

MOTU MachFive 3 has just been released. We have provided the instrument libraries bundled with this amazing new sampler: piano, drums, upright bass, guitar, electric bass, electric piano and percussions. All of these libraries are carefully sampled and use some advanced scripting that is sometimes not even available in kontakt. The Percussiv library that you probably already know is also included. You can read more about it here.

Now the next step for us is to convert all of our products to the MachFive format, and yes that includes all of the scripting capabilities. We plan on having everything ready very soon.

E-Pian and VibysM updated

The E-Pian (electric piano), and VibysM (vibraphone) have been updated. A new interface, new functionnalities, new demos are available for both Kontakt4 and the ASPlayer and a complete re-voicing has been made. The updates are free.

The OldBlackGrand is simply one of the best sounding piano VST I have ever heard. I'm not joking, I own Galaxy II, Ivory Italian grand II, Alicia's Keys and Akoustik Upright and have heard extensive demos of East West QL Pianos. I've found that I'm forever having to EQ, compress and maximise these instruments. Where as your piano sounds so incredibly loud and full straight out of the box without having to do very much at all, I love the tone control knob its so natural and flattering.

There are a LOT of Piano sample libraries out there. Rarely does something come along in the sample world that really gets my heart pounding like Acousticsamples KAWAI EX concert grand piano. It is that rare gem that just makes heads turn and ears perk up. This ones a must have for all. It's a library that is so versatile I can't imagine anyone going without it. What a beautiful sound! And playability? I found its sensitivity curve to be very intuitive. And for a real treat something I haven't heard captured very well in ANY piano is the mid range. Listen to the Rim/Side position mics - the mid range is like a rock.The KAWAI EX concert grand piano is also a VERY flexible library. From Pop to Rock to Classical I use it almost daily. And for the price!? It's a no brainer!
