The OldBlackGrand is simply one of the best sounding piano VST I have ever heard.
I'm not joking, I own Galaxy II, Ivory Italian grand II, Alicia's Keys and Akoustik Upright and have heard extensive demos of East West QL Pianos.
I've found that I'm forever having to EQ, compress and maximise these instruments.
Where as your piano sounds so incredibly loud and full straight out of the box without having to do very much at all, I love the tone control knob its so natural and flattering.

I recently bought the Kawai EX Pro library and I must say CONGRATULATIONS!!!...this is definitely the piano sound that I have been looking for...
Extremely good sound and clear winner in front of others in terms of bass sounds and overall sonority!
THANK YOU!!!
Fernando Vasquez Contreras (Sept 7 2010)
I am a piano student and i really have been surprised by the quality, the playing and expression of the Kawai EX and the extraordinary work of Lance Herring, you have achieved what many others keep on trying. My only question is: what about a Bosendorfer 290d with the same quality :)
Gavin Kinch (Apr 10 2010)
I must say your products, in particular the EX, are breathtaking. Congratulations in producing, to my ears, the finest concerto piano instrument available.
M.Tofone (Oct 10 2009)
I must say that what I have heard so far from the new Kawai EX demos and videos is really impressive.

There are a LOT of Piano sample libraries out there. Rarely does something come along in the sample world that really gets my heart pounding like Acousticsamples KAWAI EX concert grand piano. It is that rare gem that just makes heads turn and ears perk up. This ones a must have for all. It's a library that is so versatile I can't imagine anyone going without it. What a beautiful sound! And playability? I found its sensitivity curve to be very intuitive. And for a real treat something I haven't heard captured very well in ANY piano is the mid range. Listen to the Rim/Side position mics - the mid range is like a rock. The KAWAI EX concert grand piano is also a VERY flexible library. From Pop to Rock to Classical I use it almost daily. And for the price!? It's a no brainer!

There's a thread over at VirtualInstruments mag here that is really talking you up. I heard the demo and was blown away...

We find your pianos brilliant and we are very very hard to please concerning pianos so please take it as a complement.I have bought so many!
E.Moon (Sept 23 2009)
Congratulations on great sounding and very musical samples! And great demos too. I have been looking for a good upright piano sample for a long time. And the jazz drums are really the best I've heard. I've also been finding myself needing better vibes.
C.Brady (Aug 31 2009)
Hi, I love your samples. Thank you for your hard and excellent work.
S.Keeler (Aug 15 2009)
I purchased Drumtastejazz yesterday and Drumysm a while back. I'll start by saying I absolutely love both the kits. The different mic positions in Drumtastejazz give the kit a superb overall sound.
P.Scott (Aug 15 2009)
I just bought another product - the jazz guitar, The quality for the price is totally AWESOME! I could not be more pleased and I look forward to using it - like a little kid, I will probably be up to the wee hours of the morning! Great job on this product.
P.Scott (July 27 2009)
Many, many thanks for an incredible product at a ridiculously low price.

Finally I got the Academic Grand library. It´s a fantastic Steinway D Grand Piano sample and it will sum nicely in my future productions.
B.Michel (June 4 2009)
I listened to the Steinway samples on Youtube and they are absolutely amazing.

I bought some beautiful sounds of your set this morning (A-Bass/Drums/JazzGuit+Rhodes), everything sounds great and very natural! The charming shape of those old rhodes instruments is a big plus in your samples.
