VBrass French Horns
Our first VBrass series library, a set of 4 French Horns, a Triple Horn and a Wagner Tuba
Brass VST plugins that play like the real thing. Every instrument in these sample libraries blends recordings of world-class players with physical modeling, so dynamics, legato and vibrato respond to your breath or mod wheel instead of keyswitches.
Our first VBrass series library, a set of 4 French Horns, a Triple Horn and a Wagner Tuba
The library that launched the VSeries, VHorns Brass contains 6 instruments: 2 Trumpets, 2 Flugelhorns, 2 Trombones.
Our final VHorns library: Cornet, Sousaphone, Bass Trombone, Euphonium, Valve Trombone, Muted Trumpet.
A purely sampled brass library jumps between recorded dynamic layers and plays a new recording for every articulation, which is where most virtual brass gives itself away. Our VHorns and VBrass instruments use H.A.T. (Harmonic Alignment Technology) to move continuously from the softest to the loudest note, controlled by the air flow: the mod wheel, a breath controller, or a wind controller such as an EWI or Aerophone. Staccatos, marcatos, legatos and double tonguing come from how you play, not from switching patches.
How does it work? Read sampled, modeled or hybrid: how realistic virtual brass and woodwinds work.
Legato transitions were extracted from live recordings, from lightning-fast note changes to slow bends. Half-valve effects, falls, doits, growl and flutter are built in. Each instrument was recorded with 4 microphone positions, and the Virtual Space places it in a room so several instruments sound like a real section rather than a stack of panned tracks. Mutes are included.
All instruments run in the free UVI Player as VST, AU, AAX and standalone on macOS and Windows.
