WoodBoxes
WoodBoxes is a compilation of two Cajon libraries; 'WoodBox' (a regular Cajon) and 'TheBox' (a Bass Cajon).
Overview
TWO CAJONS, ONE BOX
WoodBoxes brings together two cajon libraries: WoodBox, a regular sized cajon, and TheBox, a bass cajon.
They are sampled in depth, 3040 samples for WoodBox and 848 for TheBox, with 16 hit positions, right and left hand samples, about 15 velocity layers per position and 8 round robins. The MIDI percussion parts of the demos are included to show how to play them.
Interface
Features
WoodBox

WoodBox was recorded with two microphone positions: a stereo pair in front of the cajon and another facing the back, which captures more bass. Every sample was carefully trimmed to keep the two in phase.
The two positions are mixed with the Front and Back faders on the interface.

WoodBox interface
Microphones: mixes the front and back microphone positions.
Presets: use the default mapping preset or create your own.
MIDI learn: remap any element to any key: press the element's current key, click Learn, then press the target key.
Sensitivity: sets the minimum volume for velocity 1, from a narrow to the full dynamic range.
TheBox

TheBox, the bass cajon, was recorded from a single microphone position, but it still has all the detail needed to sound realistic.
It shares the same mapping presets, MIDI learn and sensitivity controls as WoodBox.

Your mapping
Every hit position can be moved to any key in a few seconds with MIDI learn, and saved as a mapping preset, so the cajon fits the way you play or your pads.
The sensitivity is adjustable too, from a narrow dynamic range to every one of the velocity layers.
