Bassysm-M
Bassysm-M is a muted version of the four-string Musicman Stingray Bass with roundwound strings.
Overview
THE MUTED STINGRAY
Bassysm-M is the muted version of the four-string Musicman Stingray bass with roundwound strings: short, round notes that sit tight in the groove.
It is sampled in depth: around 855 samples, with 11 velocity layers for the sustains and 10 for the releases, so every dynamic you play has its own sound rather than a louder copy of the one before.

Features
Legato, hammer-ons and slides

Play legato and the Bassysm-M connects the notes the way a bassist would, with real hammer-on and slide samples.
The legato mode decides what an overlapping note does: trigger a hammer-on, a slide, a plain sustain, or nothing at all. The legato distance sets the widest interval it applies to, so a big jump is still played as a fresh note.
More about this
Legato controls
Legato mode: choose whether playing legato triggers hammer-ons, slides, sustains, or has no effect. The mode can also be switched from the keyboard: Off (B4), Hammer (C5), Slide (C#5) and Legato (D5).
Legato distance: the maximum interval, in semitones, over which the legato applies. Wider intervals are played as new notes.
Vibrato, string noises and ghost notes
An advanced vibrato effect sits on the modulation wheel, so you can bring it in and out as you would with your fretting hand.
String noises are played randomly, and harmonics, ghost notes and string hits are all sampled - the small details that make a bass line sound played rather than programmed.
Shape the tone
Everything you need to fit the bass into a mix is on the front panel: a cabinet simulation and a Bass and Treble EQ.
The sensitivity sets how quiet the softest notes are, giving you as much or as little dynamic range as the track needs.
More about this
Front panel
Release volume: the level of the sound produced when you release a string while a note is ringing.
Cabinet: turns the cabinet simulation on or off.
EQ: adjusts the Bass and Treble of the parametric EQ.
Sensitivity: sets the minimum volume for velocity 1, from a narrow to the full dynamic range.
