Verify the md5 of your downloaded files

• You can see your soundbank in the player (UVI Workstation, BPM, ...) but when loading a preset, the player crashes.
• You can't even mount the soundbank and get an error message like "Unable to mount the Volume from '/Xxx/Example.ufs'

Please first check you have a valid iLok authorization which has properly been downloaded to your iLok.

Maybe the soundbank file(s) (Example.ufs) is(are) erroneous. This happens sometimes with large files downloaded over HTTP or FTP, even if you didn't experience any problem during the transfer.

You need to calculate its MD5 checksum. An MD5 checksum is the unique signature for a file. This allows you to check if the file you have at home is the same as the one online. Many programs are available to calculate the MD5 checksum. We recommend the use of:

• 1. Launch the program. Click on the thumbnail "Single Files"
  
  
   
• 2. Drag and drop the file you want to check to the field "Choose file"
  
  
   
• 3. Click on "Calculate checksum"
  
  
   
• 4. The checksum will appear in the field "The checksum is:"
  
  
   
• 5. Compare the result to the records below. If your checksum is different, your UFS file is erroneous or outdated, you need to download it again.

• 1. Launch the program. The first window is an explorer. Browse to the folder where lies the file you want to test, for instance, the UVISoundbanks folder (C:\Program Files\UVISoundBanks). Click on "Create Sums".
  
  
   
• 2. Select and double-click on the UFS file you want to check:
  
  
   
• 3. Click on "OK"
  
  
   
• 4. Once the MD5 checksum has been calculated, the program will ask for saving the result. You don't need to as the result will appear on the last window:
  
  
   
• 5. Compare the result to the records below. If your checksum is different, your UFS file is erroneous or outdated, you need to download it again.
